This is a NEW 100+ watt heavy duty soldering iron for stained glass. They are an excellent quality iron, commercially capable, and I use mine almost exclusively, even over the 2 other brand name irons that I own. It holds its heat very well, and because of the mass, has not yet caused me to have to slow the pace that I solder at while it needs to heat up, even when soldering long lines or when soldering for long periods. Don't let the size mislead you as they are much lighter than they look and are very well balanced which reduces fatigue when soldering for long periods. They are very well made and with decent care, should last a long time. Mine sure are holding up very well, and people who have already bought irons from me have been pleased with the quality and capability of these irons. I recommend using a mini phaser as it allows a finer temperature control capability and can be adjusted to the way you solder as well as what you are soldering. These irons have the ability to go to higher temps and hold heat very well . They truly ARE very nice irons and the mini-phaser makes them run even better, as you can control the temp to adjust to your particular approach to the way you solder. These irons will not fit in a standard sized stand, so I do stock the larger stands that do fit these irons. Please contact me if you would like to purchase a stand as well. If you would like to expedite the shipping, you may request an upgrade to Priority Mail if you are willing to pay the difference between the 2 fees. Priority shipments are expected to arrive within 3 days. Contact me for the shipping price if you want to upgrade to Priority Mail. I make every effort to pack well so your item arrives safely but still keep the box size down since the larger the box is in size and weight, the higher the shipping will be. Shipping costs are slightly higher for residents of Alaska and Hawaii due to the increased distance so if that applies to you feel free to ask for the shipping charge prior to the end of the listing. I will gladly combine shipping whenever possible.
